How is Carolina Kickoff going to work this year?

We are thrilled to announce that Carolina Kickoff will be in person this year at Camp New Hope from August 15-17th, following over 70 years of tradition.

We welcome campers from around the country and world, invite speakers and student performances, eat from Chapel Hill’s best restaurants, and make meaningful connections.

How much does Carolina Kickoff cost?

To cover expenses, we ask for a fee of $175 per camper; however, to ensure camp is accessible to every student, we provide financial aid as we are able. Please make a note on your application if you would like to be considered for financial aid.

What about all the logistical details?

On the morning of August 15th, we will pick up campers at the Campus Y on UNC’s campus and transport them via bus to Camp New Hope where they will spend the next 2 nights. For this reason, those living on-campus will be able to move into their dorms early.

Between August 15th and 17th, all we ask is for is a good attitude (and some basic hygiene). We’ll handle the rest. Expect chants, student performances, speakers, icebreakers, sleep-deprived counselors, and new friends.
