A 3-day community-building program for
UNC students by UNC students.

What is Carolina Kickoff?

Founded in 1946, Carolina Kickoff is a crash course for incoming UNC-Chapel Hill students on how to make the most of their Carolina experience. With dozens of passionate counselors, our 3-day program exposes our 175+ campers to fellow Tar Heels, campus leaders, and other student groups.

Social Justice

As a committee of Campus Y, Carolina Kickoff strives to promote social justice through introducing incoming first-years to the diverse and open atmosphere on UNC’s campus.

Community

Ask anyone who went to Carolina Kickoff: the connections made during camp can last for years. By your first day on campus, you will recognize dozens of familiar faces.

Continuity

Whether you decide to become a counselor or participate in events throughout the year, the Carolina Kickoff community extends beyond the summer.
